Vasudev only! November 6, 2008

Filed under: ENGLISH — dhavalrajgeera @ 12:40 pm

Remember this at all times, because it is the main principle of the
Gita – Vasudev Sarvam (All is God). If you do not believe in the
other, then there is no “All”, there is only Vasudeva (Paramatma).
The All is our body and the World. The All is everything that is not
your Self. The All remains till such time as we give it importance,
and we believe that it exists. As soon as we realise that the All
has no existence of its own and it should have no importance, the
All merges into Vasudeva (God). The sarvam becomes Vasudev. Then
there is only Vasudev (God). There is nothing else, there was
nothing else, there will be nothing else, there can be nothing else -
Save and Except Vasudeva (God). Remain ever established in Vasudeva
(Paramatma). It is because you have given existence to “asat”
(unreal) and thus given it importance. Giving existence and
importance to the other (asat), is the main flaw. It simply IS and
that is “Existence”. It has only been believed that it is not
realized, but it is already realized. “Nasato Vidhyate Bhavo,
Nabhavo Vidhyate Satah” (Gita 2:16). There is only Vasudeva (Only
God).

There is true and there is false. What is false is false because of
the true. The false gets its existence only because of the existence
of the truth. Without the truth the false has no power whatsoever.
It cannot even exist. We say that ‘All is God’ only till such time
as we give the All an existence and any importance. Otherwise, it is
just God that exists in everything. God is already there. We do not
have to do anything to attain Him. The mistake that we have made is
that we have given the All importance and given it existence due to
our ignorance of the truth. Therefore the All exists in our mind in
opposition to the IS (God). God IS, and is always there, and is ever
attained. No matter however hard we try, we cannot attain what does
not exist – i.e. the All. As soon as a person realises this, his
work is over. You attain and understand that God is All and All is
God. This is Vasudeva Sarvam.

You have to do nothing for your Self. You should do all you can for
the world without wanting anything in return. In Karma Yog, there
is nothing to do for the Self, everything is to be done for the
world. Even though you are doing, you should never think that you
are the doer. You are a mere tool in His Hands. If you start
thinking that you are the doer, you will get attached to the fruits
of your action and start enjoying the result of your actions – which
will bind you to this world and give you tensions and worries. Doing
for others with a selfless motive is Karma Yog. This can unite the
whole world – all religions (Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Jews,
Parsis, etc.). This is ever attained in any religions. “Bade
bhaagya Manushya Janam pawaa” It has nothing to do with the body.
It is all about discrimination (vivek). “Hai so sunder hai sadaa,
nahin so sunder naahi… hai so dikhe naahi”. We are seeing what is
not, and not what IS. One is a knower and the other is to be known.
Give things of nature, back to nature. We have the ability to
know. The intellect to know what is right and what is wrong is only
given to humans. Human beings have the ability to know this, that
we are ever established in “Is-ness”. It is not about simply
learned knowledge, it is realizing this. Not like learning a
language, it is divine knowledge, true knowledge. “Sa sarvavit
bhajati maam, sarva bhaaveneh bhaavitah……Iti guhyatam shaastra”
One who realizes this, has nothing remaining to be done, to be
known, and to be attained. “The one who realizes this, worships and
is devoted to Me.” That One who realizes this, never forgets Me,
and I never forget Him, says Bhagwaan. “Yo maam pachyati sarvatra,
sarvamcha mai pachyati” Bhagwaan is an amazing player. In all is
Paramatma (God), and All are in Paramatma (God). Realize this in
solitude.

Bhagwaan IS. Everything is Bhagwaan. We see the world with our
eyes. Everything is happening as part of His divine play, as He is
a player. “Ban gaye Aap akele sab kuch, naam dharaa sansaar” “You
alone became everything, and that everything we call the World”. So
we will naturally see only the world and not the power or truth
behind the world. In fact, we are all situated in the IS, which is
always there and will always remain. The IS is in ALL and the ALL is
in the IS. The One is in everything and the Everything is in the One.

Blind Faith! November 3, 2008

Filed under: ENGLISH — dhavalrajgeera @ 11:17 pm

Blind faith!

Truth too may have different meaning for each one of us, depending on our mind set. Say for an Eskimo or Maori in Australia, the inner search may reveal something totally different, than one living in so called civilized world.
I like one shloka very much

श्लोकार्धेन प्रवक्ष्यामि. यदुक्तं ग्रंथकोटिभिः

परोपकारः पुण्याय पापाय परपीदनम् ।

If in our pursuit of happiness, we are
harmful to somebody, it is wrong. If we
are spreading happiness , it is for good.

 THE FAITH IS VERY PRSONAL.

PERSON’S OWN FEELING.

ABOUT THE ONE IF ANY.

AND, PERSON  NAMES THAT AS  THY.

WE DO NOT KNOW THY.

BUT, EACH LIVING BEING HAS NAMED THY.

EACH CULTURE- Faith  CALLS THY WITH THE NAME.

ONE WHO IS SELF REALIZES (SOUL) DOES NOT NAME THY, YET ENJOY THY MENIFESTATION.

LOOK MR. GOYANKAJI AND HIS WORK, KNOWN AS “VIPASYANA” KNOWN IN EAST AND PRACTICE BY BUDDIST.

ADI SHANKARACHARYA AND MANY KNOWN GREAT THINKERS LIVED WITH ADVETYA AND DWETYA VADA.

LET US TRY IN OUR LIFE TO FIND THE TRUTH AND ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

LET US UNDERSTAND SOUL AND SUPRIME SOUL.

LET US UNDERSTAND SPIRIT AND WHERE WE CAN FIND IN US.

This sounds all right from the realm of faith. But when masses adopt simple faith, quitting reasoning, it gives birth to blind faith and forcing of one’s view on others. And blind faith has generated maximum no. of evils and miseries for mankind.

e.g. in this one. If somebody says- ‘ Krishna is the only Saviour and He only knows absolute trouth’ ; immediately christians wil say ‘No. Jesus.’ and muslims – “No. Mohommad.’ This is how religious kingdoms get established. Then it degenerates into pure and simple Politics and power game. The rich, the  wealthy, the powerful and the Pundits have exploited the love and faith instincts of ordinary people like you and me.

The first need for anybody is education, satisfying basic needs and rational thinking. Faith , if founded on these basic paramaters can only be tolearant for other’s thinking.

Frankly, no religious leader is prepared to say this, as it is counter productive for his/ her vested interests.

I would love to discuss these issues with you, as much as I like humour and literature.

When our senses are imperfect, and we are thus prone to illusion, and we make many mistakes, and in a cheating mentality stubbornly claim to be perfect, how can we know anything for certain?  We can’t. Are we destined then to remain in the illusory realm of relativity in which everyone takes their own subjective opinion as the so-called truth?

There is a way out of this quagmire.  We can understand that Absolute Truth does exist because it is logically impossible to assert the non-existence of Absolute Truth.  So how one who is captured by illusion can realize the Absolute Truth?  He cannot do so on his own power.  But by the power of the Absolute Truth it is possible to realize the Absolute Truth.

In the Bhagavad-gita it is clearly revealed that Krishna is the Absolute Truth:

arjuna uvaca
param brahma param dhama
pavitram paramam bhavan
purusam sasvatam divyam
adi-devam ajam vibhum
ahus tvam rsayah sarve
devarsir naradas tatha
asito devalo vyasah
svayam caiva bravisi me

“Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Narada, Asita, Devala and Vyasa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me.”
–Bhagavad-gita 10.12-13

Ansh and Paramatma! November 3, 2008

Filed under: ENGLISH — dhavalrajgeera @ 1:47 pm

This country, this city, this town, this house is not our Home. Our
Home is God’s home. We are His ansh (part of Paramatma). This is
the easiest of all. We are mere travellers in this world. Only God
is mine. We have to go to our own home. “Ishvar Ansh, Jeev
Avinaashi, Chetan, Amal, Sahaj Sukhraashi”. The entire Universe is
merely an evolute of Nature. ‘All our five senses and our mind
(intellect) are all established in Prakriti (Nature)’ (Gita 3:27).
There is no you, me, this, that. “manasashtaani indiryaani” The
five elements, mind, intellect and ego are all part of the lower
nature while the Self is the Higher Nature. We are truly the
essence, the part, the element of Paramatma. We should not get
established in egoism, we should get established in God.

‘The self, though situated in the body, neither acts nor gets
tainted.’ (Gita 13:31). It is due to egoism, it believes it is the
doer. This is not our work. We being a part (ansh) of Paramatma,
He being the father, it is all His. If we become established in
God, and not in egoism, our work will be done. This Nature and it’s
evolutes are not ours. Egoism, being a part of Nature, it is
inert. Even though being established in this body we are neither
doers, nor enjoyers. “I am” this I has been attached to “am” but
actually we are only “IS” (Hu). All of this due to the illusive
powers of Maya, makes us attach “I” to it. Just like “I slept
well”. All these things in nature are established in nature, but we
are not any of these things. Due to having affinity we nature, we
develop a relationship with gunas (qualities) such as purity,
passion, inertia etc. It is due to egoism alone that it considers
itself to be the doer. The minute he believes he is doer, he
becomes the enjoyer. But if you are not a doer, how can you be the
enjoyer. You are not in the least bit the doer. The department of
the senses, is separate from the Self. Only the gunas (qualities)
do. It is due to this sangh (association) with gunas (qualities)
that man becomes trapped. But the truth is we are Nirgun (without
any attributes and qualities). Inspite of residing in this body, we
are beyond, qualities and attributes. Just like the sun – though it
lights up the entire world, it neither acts, nor gets attached to
any action that is done in its light. This is all very clear. Lot
of good and bad work takes place in the light of the Sun. but the
Sun has nothing to do with it. It is due to affinity with the
gunas, that one becomes the doer, or the enjoyer. This is false
association. “Anaaditvaa, nirgunaatvaa” I am not in them and they
are not in Me. During sound sleep, the self always remains though
the mind, ego and intellect merge in ignorance. The Self is free
from mineness, egoism and desire. We should realise and accept this
fact. We should therefore detach ourselves from these. It is
only because of our created attachment to these that the Self is not
liberated.

A man of perverse understanding looks upon the Self as the doer. He
does not see the Truth. (Gita 18:16). Gita 18:17 is a very
important verse. ‘He who is free from egoism and whose intellect is
not tainted, though he may slay all beings, he neither slays, nor is
bound.’ This is a fact. It is the Truth. Therefore there is no
doership in the Self. There is no egoism (Nahamkrito bhaavo). Such
a great point. This bondage, this attachment, this ignorance, is
all not in us, it is totally apart and separate from Us (Self). He
who sees with the light of knowledge (jnaana chakshu, vivek
chakshu), truly sees. Paramatma gives Arjun divya chakshu (divine
vision) to be able to see this. But we can get to see this with
Jnana chakshu (with light of knowledge), light of scriptures.

We (Our Self) are different from the body. This is perceived by the
eyes of wisdom. Human life is meant to be perceived by the eyes of
wisdom. Satsang gives light. Darkness is wiped out completely.

Objects and Actions and Prayer November 1, 2008

Objects and Actions and Prayer

Nature has two basic elements. Objects and Actions/Activity
(Padaarth aur Kriya). The objects seem to exist and seem prominent,
but in fact all objects are merely a collection of actions. Objects
are self destructive. They are getting destroyed every second. You
should not give any importance to objects and actions. The world is
made (manifestation of) from God, but it is not a part of Him. Each
human has tied a knot – the knot is the desire to attain worldly
goods and the want to know God. This knot has been put by us
individuals and can be opened only by ourselves with the Grace of
God. This knot actually does not exist, it is a make belief knot
that we have tied.

Because of the importance that we have given to worldly objects, we
continuously want more and more and when we are not able to utilize,
we start hoarding. People generally are always wanting to increase
their wealth and purchase things (objects). They usually do not want
any spiritual progress. In today’s world Satsang, naam jap (name
recitation), bhajan (worship and devotion), dhyan (meditation),
yoga, etc are increasing many fold, but the importance is of money
and not of the spiritual practice. Spiritual practice should never
be a means to earn more money, instead money should be used as a
medium to spread God’s word. The money should be used/utilized for
Satsang, naam jap, bhajan, dhyan, yoga, etc. It is a fact that if
you want only spiritual growth, worldly goods shall automatically
come after you.

The importance and attraction that we have towards worldly goods do
not go away fast. They stay a long way with us. The solution for it
to go fast is mainly by doing Satsang, naam jap, bhajan, dhyan,
yoga, etc – Satsang and naam jap being the pioneers. By reading good
books over and over again, you gain new insight to the books and go
deeper and deeper in the meaning of the books. The attraction
that you have for material things, shall go away on it’s own,
automatically when you start enjoying Satsang, etc.

Pray to God – O Lord! Let me NEVER forget you.

Keep saying this whenever you get the time. He is too kind. He will
forgive all your sins of all your past lives the moment you truly
give your Self to Him.

BE HAPPY. BE GLAD, BE FREE OF WORRIES.
