Navratri is here!  So along with celebrating with Garbaa-Raas, what can / should we do to grow spiritually?

First three days are praying Mother Kali to help us remove our negative tendencies.   Such as Kam (Desires), Krodh (Anger), Lobh (Greed), Mad (Ego & Selfishness), Moha (attachmenet for worldly  – material things) and Matsar (Jealosy).   So one of the Mantras is “OM Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaa-ai Vichchai OM” – Swaha (If you are performing Yagya) .  May Maha Kali help us remove our Tamasik Nature.

Next three days are for invoking MahaLaxmi.   So Mantra is “OM Hrim Shreem Klim Maha Laxmai Namah OM! – swaha.  May Maha Laxmi bless us with Prosperity – Physical, Mental & Spiritual.

Last three days are dedicated for Mother Sarswati.   The Mantra for her is “OM Hrim Shreem Maha-Sarswatai Namah OM” – Swaha   May Maha Saraswati bless us with Wisdom!   The WISDOM to know the difference with What is right & wrong.

Dhyan YOGI, MadhusudanDasji suggested to Chant Gayatri Mantra, 100,000 times.  11,111 times day and one more on the last day.

OM Bhur Bhuvah Swaha, Tat sa Vitur Varenyam; Bharagau Devsya Dhee Mahi, Dhi yo yonah, Prchodayat OM!  Swaha …..

May Gayatri Maiya Enlighten our intellect as bright as Sun.   May Mother Gayatri bless us with enlightenment so as to be liberated from all the Dualities and eventually from the cycle of Birth & Death.

This is another auspicious period for Intensive Sadhana to our CAPACITY and Intensity of Desire to grow spiritually.   It is recommended that offering Ahuti to Deep Yagya or Regular Yagya 108 times for each of these  mantras esp. on Ashthami.   What is important is our sentiment (Bhavna) behind the act than act itself.

Wish you Happy Navratri  Festivals ……………..
