  1. Our friend PV’s comments,

Nonsense. Its a negative propaganda ,truth twisted in favor of Christianity, fearing church may loose their power in west.already west has financially collapsed, east has taken over commerce,Japan China and India (Buddha,Jain,Hindu) and now they fear they may loose in the race of philosophy to east.

    Action follows with reaction,
first (West)Church started conversion of religion, now they fear reverse conversion
All major religion are originated from Asia.(except few),hence east has more variety of philosophical thoughts to learn, and to learn new thing one has to develop first positive mind set, which is very difficult for western people, who thinks that they are more intelligent than everyone else in the world, hence it becomes more difficult for them to understand new philosophy. They are having big ego which prevents them learning new things and to understand new thoughts and ideas.
This type of program is financed and sponsored by church to stop christian’s to learn other religion and their philosophy,to protect their vested interest and monopoly.
You will see in long run that more they try to stop them more will take interest in eastern culture

  2. Dear Dr. Rajendra Bhai,

Thanks for sending a very thorough and comprehensive video (above link) on mind altering via Yog, meditation, Eastern philosophy, and different religions. This is indeed more or less a true picture of the world and different religions. A very good concise picture put in over one and half hour journey through India and world. By Yog not only the mind changes but the whole perspective of life changes via change in intellect, id and ego. Only by meditation and constant remembering God culminates in to Yog.

First -we all are humans first then Hindus, Christians, Moslems, Buddhists, etc. Actually there was no word Hindu before Vedas were written about 6000+ years ago and more so about in book form some 3200 years ago when Egyptians made paper and Chinese made ink, before that Aryas or Bharatiyas wrote it on Tamra-patra, stones, etc. The truth and Veda (to know) is there since the inception of the human race about 1.8 million years ago.

Second –the word religion means again unite (re=again + legion=unite). Ever since the soul or life came in to a human form (or any other form) it detached from its infinite source –called God, and strives to meet its source just like all water eventually meet its source ocean on the Earth. This is also called Yog –the sum, addition, unity, etc., of individual or finite with the infinite.

Third –the word Yog means unity –what one should do to accomplish the goal and purpose of human life –to meet its source –the God. In Western world it is called yoga which is a short form of Yogasans. And it is good and loving that here in the west everything is shortened and called so, to be informal and close or loving, just like we call Mike for Michael, Tim for Timothy, Tom for Thomas, Liz for Elizabeth, etc. It conveys a sense of love for life or humans and a sense of closeness just like we never call our son or wife as Mr. or Madam but we call Pappu, Guddu, or by their first names. That sounds loving, until recently in India when they call their wives madam because of mental slavery to English and British.

Anyway to give all the comments will be too time consuming, people who have watched this have already given about 2 hours to watch it and may not like to read too much verbiage any more. In nut shell it is crux of the whole story that we got to do Yog, Pranayam, Asans, Surya Namashkar, and Vyayam; remember the Word of God, (called Naam in Hindi, Tatva in Sanskrit, Shabda in Urdu, etc.) with every breath and meditate on the lotus feet of the God daily. Guru –in India- there are many Gurus and one must be careful of them. A true Guru will never say he or she is a Guru. There are many Gurus and then there is a Sat guru. So be careful while you want to meet a Sat Guru and wind up meeting a Guru. Eventually you want to catch only the Sat (Truth) and not the guru but you can’t do without Sat-guru because humans are a mix of two -true self and false body. This is a fact that without Guru no one and I mean NO ONE can meet God, even so called Gods –Ram, Krishan, etc. also had to have Sat-guru. Yes, true, some 2000 years ago Jesus Christ told “No one can go to my father unless goes through me’. But hundreds of thousands of years ago, even Lord Ram told, “Guru Vashishatha Kul Pujya Hamaare, Tinhi Ki Kripaa Danuj Ran Maare”. Hindu scriptures are full of glory of a Sat- Guru saying, “Ram Krishan se Ko Badaa, Tinhu To Guru Kinha; Teen Lok hai Dhani Guru Aage Aadheen.” It is an unending story to write or tell, as said in Vedas “Neti (Na+Iti), Neti.”

Thanks for a job well done in letting people know this.

With best wishes, and regards, Sincerely, DS

  3. Dear Dr. Trivedi,

It is interesting video against Hinduism and indirectly for the benefit of Christianity. It is interesting to learn that (physical, pranayama, and meditation) yoga has started concurring the world by offering many benefits to all.

In my view, critiques are very important to enhance and sharpen our thinking process. [Nindak niyare rAkhiye Angan kuti chhawAy: Kabir.] We all must try to improve what we lack using such videos and other type of criticisms. My plan is to bring Hinduism close to science via Dvi-Paksa Adavita (dual-aspect monism) framework. In video, western people think that there is significant amount of superstition in our religion. If this framework is somehow incorporated in Vedanta, it will reduce superstition & suffering and maximize happiness & peace. This will also address some of the above criticisms. We need to be careful that we must not follow any view blindly based on just faith.
